Super Mario Galaxy Film Teaser Is Here, Unveiling New Characters Rosalina & Bowser Jr. Actors
The collaboration between Nintendo and Illumination released the first full-length trailer for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie midweek. This occurred during a dedicated Nintendo presentation that centered on the upcoming animated film.
The sequel to the 2023 hit film The Super Mario Bros. Movie, this latest chapter will propel Mario to the far corners of the cosmos. There, he will encounter a fresh princess character and a formidable new rival in Bowser Jr., the heir to Bowser's throne.
An Interstellar Journey Inspired by Classic Games
Much like the Wii console classics that provide its foundation, Mario will leave behind the well-known surroundings of the Mushroom Kingdom to explore outer space. Throughout his extensive trek, he will meet again some well-known personalities, for instance the Luma, a popular character from the first movie.
However, it seems Mario and his brother Luigi will confront a new threat in the form of Bowser's furious offspring, who seemingly utilizes powers related to metal. Notably, the preview for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is not solely focused on visuals from the Galaxy games; it also includes nods to other beloved games like Super Mario Odyssey and Bowser's Fury.
All-Star Vocal Ensemble Reprise Roles and Welcome Newcomers
The movie will feature once again of the original voice cast, featuring Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, and Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek.
Joining the cast for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie are Brie Larson, who will voice Rosalina, and Benny Safdie, set to embody Bowser Jr. The casting was verified by Illumination CEO Chris Meledandri.
