Helicopter Spirals Out of Control into Palm Trees at Well-Known California Shoreline
A helicopter flying over a popular southern California coastline unexpectedly began spiraling out of control, finally losing altitude and smashing into a line of palm trees as beachgoers looked on.
Videos uploaded on social media depict the helicopter beginning to twirl near the shoreline then falling towards the edge of the coast, where it gets stuck among palms and a set of stairs near the shoreline route.
Rescue Operation Information
Emergency responders reported five individuals were taken to hospital including two individuals who were in the chopper and were “extracted safely from the crash site” following the incident on that day.
Three persons on the road were harmed. Specifics on their wounds were not yet released.
The cause of the crash was not yet disclosed.
